Do You Really Want To Be Rewarded Like A World Class Entrepreneur

Let’s be real—everyone has talent. Most of us are smart enough to succeed. But talent and intellect are cheaper than used toothpicks.

Lately, a handful of my partners have asked me a question that I’ve heard in different variations over the years:

“Why do you keep attending the workshops, conventions, and trainings?” Haven’t you seen all that material before?”

The short answer is: yes, I’ve seen it before. But that’s exactly why I keep going back.

Let’s be real—everyone has talent. Most of us are smart enough to succeed. But talent and intellect are cheaper than used toothpicks. What separates the successful from the stagnant isn’t talent; it’s effort. It’s the willingness to do the work over and over again, even when you already “know” the information.

Olympic-Level Commitment

Think about Olympic athletes. These individuals train for years—six, seven, even ten years—often practicing four to five hours a day, almost every single day. And for what? To perform for just a few seconds in front of the world. Sprinters are only on the track for 10 seconds or less. Yet those 10 seconds represent decades of effort, practice, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to their craft.

That’s the mindset I bring to entrepreneurship. Our arena may not be a field or a track, but if you want to win at this game, you’ve got to show up like an elite athlete. You’ve got to train, study, and invest in yourself like a world-class professional.

The Myth of “I’ll Learn When I Have Time”

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear from entrepreneurs is this: “I’ll plug into the training once I hit a certain level,” or, “I’ll read and study when I have time.”

It doesn’t work that way.

Reading, learning, revisiting foundational workshops—these are the things that create success. Not the other way around. The very things people try to avoid are the exact activities required to get good—to become elite.

You can’t expect world-class income if you’re not putting in world-class work. It’s that simple.

Why Repetition Matters

Ever heard an old favorite song and noticed something new in the lyrics or melody—something you didn’t catch years ago?

That’s what happens when you revisit training material as you grow. The content doesn’t change. You do. Your perspective deepens. Your ability to apply the information improves. The same principle that once went over your head may now hit you like a ton of bricks because you’ve matured into it.

That’s why I keep showing up. Not because the content is new, but because I’m new. I’m constantly evolving. And in a world as dynamic as entrepreneurship, if you're not evolving, you're falling behind.

Entrepreneurship Is a Skilled Trade

We often forget that entrepreneurship, like music, athletics, or the culinary arts, is a skilled trade. And just like those professions, the people who thrive are the ones who practice—constantly.

If you want to treat your business like a hobby, you’ll get hobby-level results. But if you treat it like a profession, your results will reflect that too. You don’t become a master chef or concert pianist overnight. And you certainly don’t become a six- or seven-figure entrepreneur without putting in the reps.

Final Thoughts

The truth is, there’s no shortcut, no secret hack. It’s about showing up daily and doing what’s required. It’s about sharpening the saw—again and again.

If you’ve been hesitant to invest your time or money into your development, I want to challenge you to rethink that. Often, when people say they “don’t have time” or “don’t have the money,” what they really mean is they haven’t prioritized it. And ironically, that’s when you need to lean in the most.

So let this be your nudge: keep going to the workshops. Read that book one more time. Take notes at the seminar—even if you’ve heard it all before. Because your next breakthrough might be buried inside information you thought you already knew.
